Janna began working with children in the mental health field in 2008 doing in-home therapy and behavioral consultation. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Lehigh University in 2005 and her Master of Education in Secondary School Counseling from IUP in 2007. Janna continued her education in 2017 and received a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in Counseling.   Janna is PA certified in school counseling and is a Licensed Professional Counselor.  She began working for Laurel Life in 2012 as a Brief Treatment therapist and then moved to a Transition Classroom in 2014. She is currently a Senior Director of Transition Classrooms.

Janna is passionate about helping students work through past trauma through resiliency practices, relationships and building empathy. She loves brainstorming behavior and developing creative ways to meet student needs. Janna also works closely with school district staff and enjoys building positive relationships within school communities. In addition, she is energized by the team she works with and the work being done.

Janna would love to someday combine her love of animals with working with children and open a therapy farm to continue to help children experience situations and themselves differently.
